Head up to Brundage Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Lakes are good; Tule Lake is a lake that's near Warm Lake. Yeah, come here to Warm Lake
for a nice time. Drift down the rapids of Johnson Creek in a kayak, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Knox Lake. A common amount of precipitation falls here at Warm Lake; the month with most
of the snow is January; the driest of the months is July.
High temperatures at Warm Lake during the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime

The trail to Blackmare Lake is in very poor shape. The fire last year weakened the trees and the wind took down many of them. There are several 24-36' logs across the trail preventing horse travel. Hikers can make the trek, but expect to be climbing over a lot of down timber. The trails themselves are not terrible, but they are very loose with decomposed granite sand.
The other big problem with the trail is that past the signs at the first bridge, there is absolutely no direction as to where the trails will take you or how far you are along the trails. ... |
