Walsh Lake is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. McArthur Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and there are great locations to look at along the Grouse Mountain Trail. There is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Walsh Lake called the White Mountain Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites SANDPOINT NORTH is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. You can run the rapids of Pack River

| | near Walsh Lake, and going for a hike on the Upper North Fork Grouse Creek Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lake Rv, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Pack River. From a precipitation point of view Walsh Lake is a quite typical place; during the month of December you get the most snow around here; July on the other hand is the driest. Bond Lake, and Sandpoint Koa Kampground is a tremendous campground nearby. If you need a place to stay Sandpoint Super 8 Motel is a fine choice, and if you're visiting from Coeur d'Alene, you won't be the only one. This is no
place for people who don’t like to have a good time. Schweitzer is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; some of the water nearby flows, like Berry Creek. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Walsh Lake while
night lows are commonly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's while Walsh Lake nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's.

 | 10 miles away 1 PHOTO ...nts with wooden floors. We also have internet, movie rentals, and sell propane too. This area has tons of hiking, fishing, hunting and canoing/kayaking in the Kootenai River. The Kootenai Wildlife Refuge is 5 miles away and is great to hike around. We have fishing and swimming in our 3 acre lake and have 2 huge Lakeside Firepits. Some of the sites have BBQs and Picnic Tables and we sell ice, wood, charcoal, pop, snacks and some RV hookup supplies. Here are a couple of great hikes to add to the site:
Snowcreek Falls, Naples, Idaho. Directions: Go north from Sandpoint on Highway 95 to Naples. Turn left on the old highway 95 and go about 5 miles, passing the Deep Creek Inn. You will cross a railroad crossing, keep following the road until you see a brown Forest Service sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn left off of the old highway 95 and follow the road until it turns to dirt and forms a Y intersection. Take forest service road 402, on the left going up the hill for about 2 miles.
