This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. Lewis and Clark Cafe and RV Park is a wonderful local campground; a glorious nearby hotel is Best Western Hamilton Inn. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is peerless! You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Pony Lake near Wallace Lake, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Daly Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       If you came for an overnight stay Wagonhammer Campground is a wonderful place to camp, and the Brushy Gulch Trail is a good hiking trail close by. A charming lake like U P Lake near Wallace Lake is a great place to check out, and on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Moose Creek Trail. That right there is a lot already, but it carries on; Wallace Lake has it all. Wallace Lake is pretty dry typically; of all the months in a year June is the                  one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. During the days of summer at Wallace Lake highs are usually in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 40's.
