There are other locations here than Upper Twin Lake, for example Hard Butte Lake. Near Upper Twin Lake you discover the Lava Butte Trail which is a fine hiking trail, and glide down the rapids of Hard Creek in a kayak. So much exciting stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains, not enough time. Why not camp at Hazard Campground since you're here at Upper Twin Lake, and Warm Springs       Saddle is a wonderful location to take a look at. Around Upper Twin Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; May is the wettest month with most rain, and July is when it's the driest. If you came for an overnight stay Allison Creek Campground is a tremendous place to camp, and you can go for a hike on the Crestline Trail. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Upper Twin Lake. Going for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail is                  always a fine adventure, and if you need a site to stay Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. At Upper Twin Lake you can observe Hard Butte, and if you come at the right time of year, Hazard Creek offers some glorious whitewater. This location, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Lakes are such serene locations, why not explore Lower Twin Lake next to Upper Twin Lake; Whitetail Club and Resort is a great location to get some rest. Throughout the summertime at Upper Twin Lake highs are mostly in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 40's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Upper Twin Lake.
