The Crestline Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close to Upper Payette Lake, and it's a great idea to pop by Camp Creek. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. And that's not all you can do here at Upper Payette Lake. After a long day outdoors Hotel Mc Call is a glorious place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Fall Creek Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Best Western       Inn is a great spot to get some rest; nearby you stumble on the Box Lake Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail. So many fun things in the Salmon River Mountains, just fantastic. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Upper Payette Lake Campground is a great place to camp, and whitewater paddling is nice on Payette River - North Fork. Through the warm days of summer, highs                  usually are in the 90's at Upper Payette Lake. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Upper Payette Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The scenery at Upper Payette Lake Dam in close proximity to Upper Payette Lake is pretty; camping at Upper Payette Lake is glorious fun, Upper Payette Campground is a glorious local campground.
