Do stop by Upper Palisades Lake while you're in this part of Idaho. If you need a place to stay Best Western Teton West is a tremendous choice, and paddling on Pine Creek is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Dry Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth taking a look at; a delightful spot to explore is Big Dry Canyon. Upper Palisades Lake is frequently a quite dried out spot; May is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February.

| | Through the summer highs here at Upper Palisades Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Upper Palisades Lake fall into the 0's. Take a hike on the Game Creek Trail, and there are plenty of people from Jackson here.

Now, you may imagine that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Upper Palisades Lake. Upper Palisades Lake is right by the Taylor Mountain Trail, and hey, Gotta ski right? Grand Targhee is a pleasant location to do that.
