This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Grouse Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Salmon River Motel. At Upper Hazard Lake you don’t see much precipitation; most of the rain falls through May; the driest of the months is July. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Salmon River Mountains. Paddling on Payette River - North Fork is so much fun, and on a wonderful day you       can take a hike along the Crestline Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in close proximity to Upper Hazard Lake. Hard Creek Basin is a pretty place any time of year, and a lake nearby is Hard Creek Lake. While you're here at Upper Hazard Lake you can take a hike along the Lava Butte Trail, and Bruin Mountain can be seen from Upper Hazard Lake. Chair Point Look Out is a great site to get some rest. During the summertime at Upper Hazard Lake temperatures are typically in the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Upper Hazard Lake.
