This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Lakes are perfect; Hard Creek Lake is a lake that's near Upper Hazard Lake, and Hard Creek Basin is a fine place. If you came for an overnight stay Hazard Campground is a delightful location to camp, and don't leave Upper Hazard Lake without first going for a hike along the Crestline Trail. So much enjoyable stuff in the Salmon River Mountains,       just phenomenal. Here at Upper Hazard Lake you can distinguish Bruin Mountain; going for a hike on the Lava Butte Trail is always a splendid adventure. A delightful close by hotel is AmericInn McCall, and you can go for a hike on the Broken Leg Trail. This lake is so wonderful. A tremendous place for whitewater paddling close to Upper Hazard Lake is Payette River - North Fork, and Grouse Campground is a brilliant campground nearby. And that's not all you                  can do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Not far from Upper Hazard Lake, you'll come across Hazard Lake which is a scenic lake, and if you need a spot to stay Whitetail Club and Resort is a brilliant choice. Around Upper Hazard Lake you don’t get a lot of rain; the month with most of the rain is May while July is mostly the driest month. Throughout the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 90's at Upper Hazard Lake, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
