Why not stop by Twin Lakes Dam while you're here, and while you're here, do take a tour to Harts Island. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Twin Lakes reach the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 40's. During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's while Twin Lakes overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. | | average; December is when you get the most snow here, and the driest month of the year is July. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site. Twin Lakes Mobile Park is a fine campground nearby, and you're sure to bump into some smiling people from Coeur d'Alene here.
This lake is so wonderful. This is a magnificent region for folks who like lakes. Spirit Lake is a lake around here; there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Leiberg-Athol Trail. Since you | |

might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Alpine Lake; on a great day you can take a hike along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail. Comfort Inn Near Lake Coeur D'Alene is a great place to get some rest,
and Twin Lakes Village Golf Course is a golf course close by.
A great nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HAYDEN-COEUR D'ALENE NORTH, and paddling on Spokane River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. If the
weather is great here at Twin Lakes, you can go for a hike along the English Point National Recreation Trail; you can stay the night at Silver Beach Resort.

This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
