Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Spokane River, and there are glorious places to look at along the Leiberg-Athol Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Twin Lakes has to offer, you can camp at Twin Lakes Mobile Park, and close by you stumble on the English Point National Recreation Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Throughout       the days of summer at Twin Lakes temperatures are typically in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Highs throughout the wintertime are typically in the 30's, and night lows at Twin Lakes through the wintertime mostly dip into the 10's. Here at Twin Lakes you'll probably meet some folks from Coeur d'Alene; while you're here, you could also have a look at wonderful Alpine Lake. Do explore Spirit Lake close to Twin Lakes,                  it's a pretty lake, and a great close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites HAYDEN-COEUR D'ALENE NORTH. After a long day outdoors Comfort Inn Post Falls is a fine site to spend a night or two, and the scenery at Twin Lakes Dam is striking. Any time is a great time at Twin Lakes if you love the outdoors. Why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Twin Lakes Village Golf Course, and going for a hike on the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail is always a tremendous adventure. From a rain point of view Twin Lakes is a pretty common spot; the month of December is the wettest with most of the snow while July is mostly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Harts Island is in the neighborhood and always nice to stop at.
