     Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing stuff to do here at Twin Lakes. You're in all probability hooked on lakes, Cottonwood Lake is one of those nearby, and you can have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Coyote Springs Trail. Why not camp at Papoose Creek Campground while you're here at Twin Lakes, and the peak of Farrow Mountain can be seen from Twin Lakes. Summertime highs at Twin Lakes frequently tend to be in the 70's. When  
   the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 30's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and night lows at Twin Lakes through the winter usually fall into the 0's.

Big Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and if you came for an overnight stay Parrot Placer Campground is a good location to camp. In the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Monumental Creek; hiking along the Farrow Mountain Trail is glorious fun.
