    Why not stop by Twin Lakes if you're passing through these parts. The yearly precipitation here at Twin Lakes is about average; the month with most of the snow is January while July is ordinarily the driest month. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Twin Lakes reach the 80's, and the night is slightly cooler of course, regularly in the 40's. Highs through the winter are frequently in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to  
   Twin Lakes. Not far from Twin Lakes, you'll come across Alice Lake which is a lovely lake, and Twin Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Alturas Inlet Campground is a good local campground.
Man, is there lots of cool stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. There is a great hiking trail close to Twin Lakes called the Bull Moose Trail. The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful location to camp here at Twin
 
               Lakes is Smoky Bear Campground, and Redwood Cabins is a great place to get some rest.
Salmon River has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and El Capitan can be observed from Twin Lakes. So many enjoyable things to do here at Twin Lakes, too good to be true. The Yellow Belly Trail is a delightful hiking trail near Twin Lakes, and the snow is good at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort. You simply must have a thing about the Sawtooth Range. Near Twin Lakes you find the Yuba River Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Jerry's Country Store.
