    Twin Lakes is a lake worth visiting. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. The warmest time of the year at Twin Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Highs during the winter are mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Twin Lakes dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. If you want a magnificent time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Sawtooth Range. There's whitewater  
   on Salmon River for all you thrill seekers, and Twin Lakes is great enough to spend more than a day at, Alturas Inlet Campground is a great local campground.
These mountains rock, just check out all the fun stuff to do in the Sawtooth Range. This lake is so wonderful. On a delightful day at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along the Yuba River Trail; if you've had enough of Twin Lakes, Edith Lake is close by. So much cool stuff next to Twin Lakes, absolutely
 
               astonishing. Going for a hike along the Yellow Belly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region; El Capitan is a peak you can spot from Twin Lakes.
While you're here at Twin Lakes you can take a hike along the Bull Moose Trail, and you're probably into lakes, Hidden Lake is one of those close by. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Soldier Mountain Ski Resort, and camping at Smoky Bear Campground is always a magnificent experience. From a rainfall point of view Twin Lakes is a relatively common site; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; July is when it's the driest.
