All through the days of summer highs here at Twin Cove Lake reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. Highs through the winter are commonly in the 20's, and overnight lows all through the winter for Twin Cove Lake tend to be in the 0's. Now, you may think that's loads but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains. Panther Creek is a tremendous       whitewater spot close to Twin Cove Lake; don't leave Twin Cove Lake without first going for a hike along the Ship Island Trail. Twin Cove Lake is a location that is rather dried up mostly; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is excellent!. Stay the night at Crags Campground, and there are fine places to explore along the                  South Fork Trail. Good hiking is available along the Waterfall Trail; Reflection Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. So much entertaining stuff to do at Twin Cove Lake, so little time. From Twin Cove Lake you get a nice vista of Puddin Mountain, and Twin Cove Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Yellowjacket Campground is a good site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful.
