This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. But wait, there's more exciting things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. The Ship Island Trail is a fine hiking trail near Twin Cove Lake; Yellowjacket Campground is a pleasant campground here. Puddin Mountain can be observed from Twin Cove Lake; you can stay the night at Crags Campground. All through the days of summer highs here at Twin       Cove Lake get into the 80's with night lows in the 40's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Twin Cove Lake. There is a splendid hiking trail next to Twin Cove Lake called the Waterfall Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Panther Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll find a charming lake called Alpine Lake near Twin Cove Lake;                  if you come at the right time of year, Camas Creek offers some wonderful whitewater. Not much rainfall falls here at Twin Cove Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually June, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. All the outdoors amusing stuff close to Twin Cove Lake will keep you coming back repeatedly.
