The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Turtle Lake are in the 20's. For you golfers we recommend close by St Maries Golf Course, and La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a magnificent site to get some rest. Lakes are splendid; Bells Lake is a lake that's close to Turtle Lake, and there are some       pleasant whitewater spots on Coeur d'Alene River - Little North Fork. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Turtle Lake; December is the month that gets the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things in the Clearwater Mountains. Turtle Lake is right by the White Pine National Recreation Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a                  look at close by Swan Lake. Yeah, come here to Turtle Lake for a magnificent time. Get yourself into a kayak and hit St. Maries River. There's so much to do here at Turtle Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Shady River RV Park is a pleasant location for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's wonderful hiking along the White Pine Scenic Drive, and a glorious place to stop at nearby is Cedar Draw. All year is a pleasant time in the Clearwater Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Jacot Creek is a nice local stream; if you came to camp Shadowy St Joe Campground is a great spot to do that. This lake is so wonderful. The Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail offers hiking at its best, and a glorious close by hotel is Red Horse Mountain Ranch.
