At Turkey Lake through the warm months highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Turkey Lake tend to be in the 0's. Turkey Lake is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Iron Mountain Inn is a wonderful local campground, and from Turkey       Lake you obtain a great vista of Turkey Head Butte. If you haven’t been to Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument, you should schedule some time for it if you're here, and if you need a location to stay Best Western Sawtooth Inn & Suites is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful.
