There are other sites here than Trap Lake, for example Continental Lake; there are some delightful whitewater spots on Boundary Creek. Trap Lake is a good location of typical precipitation; during the month of December you get the most snow around here, and July meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a fine choice; hiking is a popular thing       to do around Trap Lake; Hanna Flast Nature Trail is a pleasant local trail. Stay the night at Plowboy Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Priest River offers some great whitewater. Just can't get enough of Trap Lake. Green Bonnet Mountain is clearly visible from Trap Lake, and Navigation Campground is a good campground here. Through the warmest time of the year here at Trap Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and throughout                  the night it cools down to the 40's.
