Camping is available at Smoky Bear Campground, and close by you find the Yellow Belly Trail which is a great hiking trail. Nearby lakes? Sure, Edith Lake is near Toxaway Lake, and the summits of the Sawtooth Range add much beauty to the neighborhood. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Sawtooth Range. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Soldier       Mountain Ski Resort. Toxaway Lake gets a common amount of yearly precipitation; the month with most of the snow is January; July is the month with the least moisture. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Sawtooth Range. This is a glorious vicinity for folks who like lakes. Twin Lakes is a lake in the neighborhood, and going for a hike on the Yuba River Trail is always a great adventure. Toxaway Lake is a beautiful                  lake in the Sawtooth Range. At Toxaway Lake throughout the summer highs are in the 80's while night lows are usually in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while Toxaway Lake overnight low temperatures all through the winter are in the 10's. You can distinguish Payette Peak from Toxaway Lake, and the Bull Moose Trail is a good hiking trail close by. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun.
