You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Salmon River Mountains. Yellowjacket Campground is a great local campground; Paragon Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. While you're here at Tip Top Lake you can take a hike along the Waterfall Trail, and a great place for whitewater       paddling is Camas Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Ship Island Trail, and while you're here, you could also visit pretty Ramshorn Lake. Tip Top Lake is pretty dried out mostly; June is the wettest month with most rain, and February is when it's the driest. That right there is a load of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. Tip Top Lake is a tremendous spot to visit for more than                  one day, Crags Campground is a tremendous spot to camp nearby, and the peak of Puddin Mountain can be made out from Tip Top Lake. This place rules, just check out all the entertaining things to do near Tip Top Lake. Take a hike on the South Fork Trail, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Monumental Creek. During the summertime months highs here at Tip Top Lake reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's.
