Camping at Powerplant Campground is always a magnificent experience; hey, Gotta ski right? Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a great site to do that. Timpa Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawtooth Range. Yeah, come up here to the Sawtooth Range for a great time. A pleasant site to camp here at Timpa Lake is Queens River Campground. The amount of rain that falls at Timpa Lake is close to the national average; of all the       months in a year January is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. So much exciting stuff to do here at Timpa Lake, too great to be true. Do visit Surprise Lake right next door to Timpa Lake, it's a wonderful lake; a great location for whitewater paddling is Salmon River. Throughout the months of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Timpa Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. All through the winter this place gets                  highs in the 30's; night lows during the winter for Timpa Lake tend to be in the 10's. While you're here at Timpa Lake, you could also visit wonderful Chickadee Lake; there is a tremendous hiking trail nearby called the Black Warrior Creek Trail. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back over and over. From Timpa Lake you obtain a perfect sight of Plummer Peak, and if the weather is tremendous, you can go for a hike along the Yuba River Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
