A normal amount of rainfall falls here at Timpa Lake; the month with most of the snow is January, and July is when it's the driest. Don't forget to take a great little trip to Billy Creek, and Plummer Peak is a peak you can see from Timpa Lake. Now, you may think that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Sawtooth Range. Good hiking is available along the Bull Moose Trail; a charming lake       like Benedict Lake is a good site to take a look at. Gotta ski! Soldier Mountain Ski Resort is a fine spot to do that, and camping at Timpa Lake is wonderful fun, Queens River Campground is a wonderful local campground. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! The Sawtooth Range is great!. Timpa Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawtooth Range. During the summer here at Timpa Lake, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and during                  summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 30's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Timpa Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Powerplant Campground if you're here at Timpa Lake, and you can go for a hike on the Yuba River Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing things close to Timpa Lake.
