There's good hiking along the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail, and Thompson Lake is in the neighborhood of Bell Canyon which is without doubt worth taking a look at. Summertime highs at Thompson Lake ordinarily tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are       usually in the 30's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Thompson Lake sink into the 20's. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East is a delightful choice, and Thompson Lake is not far at all from Coeur d'Alene. There's some flowing water nearby, Thompson Creek is a stream you can go to while you're here, and if you came for an overnight stay Bell Bay Campground is a pleasant spot to camp.
