    A visit to Theriault Lake is always a good idea. From a precipitation point of view Theriault Lake is a pretty typical place; during January this area sees the most snow while July is generally the driest month. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Clearwater Mountains. There's so much to do here at Theriault Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Huckleberry Flat Campground is a good location for that, and whitewater paddling is glorious  
   on St. Joe River - Marble Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Baymont Inn & Suites Kellogg is a great place to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Theriault Lake has to offer, you can camp at Marble Creek Campground.
If you need a site to stay Silver Mountain Ski & Summer Resort is a great choice; on a good day you can take a hike along the Prince Peak Trail. Throughout the summertime at Theriault Lake
 
               temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 20's for Theriault Lake. Theriault Lake is located in the Clearwater Mountains.
So much entertaining stuff in the Clearwater Mountains, just inspiring. There is a nice hiking trail in close proximity to Theriault Lake called the Slate-Dunn Peak Trail, and Lost Lake is a magnificent lake close by. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Silver Mountain is close to Theriault Lake. All the outdoors entertaining stuff right next door to Theriault Lake will keep you coming back many times. The summit of Camelback Mountain can be distinguished from Theriault Lake, and there are other locations here than Theriault Lake, for example Fish Lake.
If the weather is glorious here at Theriault Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ally Point Trail, and paddling on Floodwood Creek is so much fun.

Lookout Pass is the original Idaho ski area having documented skiing and a home made rope tow in 1935. The local ski pioneers chose Lookout Pass because of the abundant snowfall and excellent snow quality which they could access by jumping on the Northern Pacific railcars as they proceeded east from the mining towns of Wallace and Mullan, Idaho. These ski adventurers would hop off the railcars at the summit and utilize a highway storage shed as a warming hut that they nicknamed ''Buzzards Roost''.
Lookout Pass has operated every winter season since 1935 and has a reputation for legendary powder, earliest openings, and longest season in the region. Average snowfall is 400'' of light Northern Rockies snow. The ''Affordable Family Ski Area'' has recently received a major expansion approval and has initiated the first three phases of a five phase Master Development Plan....
