If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great globe it would be. Good hiking is available along the South Fork Trail; if you came to camp Yellowjacket Campground is a delightful spot to do that. It is very dried up here at Terrace Lakes frequently; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. Summertime highs at Terrace Lakes usually tend       to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Terrace Lakes. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Terrace Lakes; Waterfall Trail is a great local trail, and Terrace Lakes is not the only site close by, Airplane Lake is a close by lake. Don't leave Terrace Lakes without first going for a hike along the Ship Island Trail, and camping                  at Crags Campground is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Mount McGuire from Terrace Lakes is pretty, and you can run the rapids of Panther Creek. These mountains rock, just check out all the enjoyable stuff to do in the Salmon River Mountains. There's whitewater on Camas Creek for all you adrenaline people; a lake close by is Heart Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains.
