Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Terrace Lakes. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows at Terrace Lakes through the wintertime generally sink into the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable things near Terrace Lakes.       Go for a hike on the Ship Island Trail, and whitewater paddling is great on Panther Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Waterfall Trail; Terrace Lakes is good enough to spend more than a day at, Crags Campground is a good local campground. Terrace Lakes gets very little rainfall; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains.                  But wait, there's more cool things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Terrace Lakes is not the only place nearby, Sheepeater Lake is a nearby lake. There's so much to do here at Terrace Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Yellowjacket Campground is a great site for that. Terrace Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Salmon River Mountains.
