The Salmon River Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. The vista of Mount McGuire from Terrace Lakes is picturesque, and there are fine locations to discover along the Ship Island Trail. Yep, outdoors enjoyable stuff truly is abundant here in the Salmon River Mountains. Do stop by Airplane Lake near Terrace Lakes, it's a charming lake, and you can go for a hike on the South Fork       Trail. Stay the night at Crags Campground; a delightful spot for whitewater paddling is Camas Creek. It is very dried out here at Terrace Lakes regularly; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do next to Terrace Lakes. In case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling                  on Panther Creek. Terrace Lakes is a perfect place to camp, Yellowjacket Campground is a perfect place, and don't leave Terrace Lakes without first going for a hike along the Waterfall Trail. Throughout the months of summer here at Terrace Lakes, high temperatures frequently get into the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's.
