Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Kootenai, and golf can be played at Mirror Lake Golf Course. Getting to Fern Creek from Templeman Lake is painless; camping at Templeman Lake is good fun, Smith Lake Campground is a good local campground. A tour to Leslie Springs will fill your spirit with great feelings, and Deer Lake Swamp is an       attention-grabbing swamp in the vicinity of Templeman Lake. Templeman Lake gets very little precipitation; the month with most of the rain is November while July is commonly the driest month. If only every place had this much outdoors exciting stuff, what a great world it would be. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Moyie River, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Danquist Trail. The Queen Mountain Trail is a delightful hiking trail                  near Templeman Lake, and Brush Lake Campground is a brilliant campground here. A wonderful nearby hotel is Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino. There's always Nixon Number Two Dam to pop by close to Templeman Lake, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Rutledge Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Sandpoint Super 8 Motel is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and a charming lake like Smith Lake is a good spot to go to. At Templeman Lake through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while night lows are commonly in the 50's.
