Dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn AND Suites Coeur D'Alene East, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail. While you're here at Swan Lake, you could also stop by lovely Black Lake, and nearby you hit upon the English Point National Recreation Trail which is a nice hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cave Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. The annual precipitation here at Swan Lake

You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things at Swan Lake. Going for a hike on the White Pine Scenic Drive is always a great adventure; Rainy Hill Campground is a splendid campground nearby. Here at Swan Lake there are plenty of people from Coeur d'Alene; you can stay the night at Beauty Creek Campground. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Swan Creek; on a gorgeous day you obtain a glorious panorama of Swan Peak from Swan Lake.
During the days of summer here at Swan Lake, high temperatures commonly
reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows in the 20's for Swan Lake. There's whitewater on St. Maries River for all you adrenaline people; Red Horse Mountain Ranch is a glorious site to get some rest.

Coeur D' Alene KOA

This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
