It's always fun to stop by Swan Lake. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always check out close by Cave Lake, and Swan Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Beauty Creek Campground is a glorious local campground. Going for a hike on the Caribou Ridge National Recreation Trail is always a glorious adventure, and while you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Coeur d'Alene. If you came to camp Rainy Hill Campground is a magnificent place to do that, and Swan Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at. At Swan Lake throughout the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. Lake temperatures sink to the 20's. A fine close by hotel is The Coeur d'Alene Resort; paddling on St. Maries River is so much fun. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Swan Lake without first going for a hike along the White
Pine Scenic Drive, and the view of Swan Peak is gorgeous. Swan Lake is a good location of common rain; the wettest month of the year is usually December, that's the one that snows the most, and July is the month with the least moisture.
Just can't get enough of Swan Lake. Lakes are glorious; Black Lake is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Swan Lake; if you need a spot to stay La Quinta Inn And Suites Coeur d' Alene is a great choice.

Coeur D' Alene KOA
 | 13 miles away This is a beautiful park that has terraced camping pads nestled in the side of a foothill on wolf bay. The spots are pretty tight and we barely had room to park our Suburban in our site (but we were one of the highest ones and those are smaller). They do have pull thrus as well. The pool wasn't huge but was adequate and not too crowded. They do have two hot tubs as well next to the pool. The 18 hole golf course leaves quite a bit to be desired. They charge $1.00 per person to play but it's in very sad condition and not worth even a buck in my opinion to play. My kids (7 and 2) however had fun just hitting the ball around.... |
