The beauty of Swan Lake is reason enough to stop by. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Swan Lake; Bloomington Lake Trail is a nice local trail, and at Swan Lake you can catch a glimpse of Bridger Peak. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Wasatch Range will keep you coming back again and again. Swan Peak Pond is a splendid lake close to Swan Lake, and if you need a location to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - MONTPELIER is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful.

| | A journey to Red Sinks revives the spirit, and don't leave Swan Lake without first going for a hike along the Limber Pine Trail. Through the warmest time of the year at Swan Lake temperatures are regularly in the 80's with nighttime lows in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and nighttime lows at Swan Lake during the wintertime frequently descend into the 10's. Campground is a magnificent place for that, and an afternoon playing golf at Bear Lake West Golf & Country Club is always a pleasure. If you like the outdoors, you'll fancy Swan Lake. If you came to camp Cloverleaf Campground is a
brilliant spot to do that, and Beaver Mountain is a very popular ski area nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the brilliant whitewater of Logan River, and lakes are such serene places, why not explore
Ranger Dip. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Wasatch Range. Good hiking is available along the Midland Trail; a short visit to Left Fork Fish Haven Spring is always worthwhile. The Wasatch Range scenery is always beautiful.
Swan Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; July on the other hand is the driest.

Limber Pine Trail
 | The Limber Pine trail is more of a nature walk than a hike. It's good for kids and those seeking an easy, short trail. Educational posting about flora, etc. are included around this loop trail. It's fun, too, even if you are a serious hiker. I think I could complete the loop in 15 minutes, but one posting I saw said 45 minutes. Walk it and find out. Easy access right off the road.... |
Bloomington Lake Trail
 | 10 miles away ...ke Trail and Bloomington Lake is up Bloomington Canyon on the West Side of the Bear Lake Valley. The canyon road is accessed off of Highway 89 in the community of Bloomington. It is approximately 11 miles to the top of the canyon and parking area. The road is dirt and gravel and suitable for most passenger cars. It is a short trail to the lake where you will be rewarded with a beautiful high mountain lake with high surrounding cliffs. There are many trails the lead off from the canyon and connect to other surrounding canyons. One of the more notable trails is the Highline Trail. This is an approximate 60 mile trail that runs north and south along the ridge line of the mountains. The trail can be accessed at many point including the top of Bloomington Canyon. At the parking area the road continues a bit futher west and the road turns into a trail that leads up to the ridge.
