Swamp Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. There's so much to do here at Swamp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Hoodoo Lake Campground is a wonderful spot for that, and the Granite Ridge Trail is a pleasant hiking trail nearby. So many fun things to do at Swamp Lake, so little time. If the weather is glorious here at Swamp Lake, you can go for a hike along the Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail, and Colt

| | Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Having a delightful time in the Bitterroot Range is trouble-free. Whitewater paddling is perfect on White Sand Creek.
This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. The top of Grave Peak is easily seen from Swamp Lake, and Lolo Hot Springs Mountain is a brilliant spot to get some rest. The annual precipitation here at Swamp Lake is about average; during the month of January you get the most snow | |

around here, and the driest of the months is July.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the Bitterroot Range has to offer. Near Swamp Lake you locate great sites like Friday Pass; close by you come across
the State Line Trail which is a nice hiking trail. During the summertime highs here at Swamp Lake get into the 80's; the overnight is somewhat colder of course, usually in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs
in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Swamp Lake temperatures descend to the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Swamp Lake is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Powell Campground is a tremendous local campground, and paddling on Crooked Fork is so much fun.
