During the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Swamp Lake. But wait, there's more to do near Swamp Lake. There's whitewater on Salmon River - Middle Fork for all you thrill seekers; there are some brilliant whitewater spots on Marsh Creek. This location, the Sawtooth Range, has so much outdoors entertaining       stuff. There's so much to do here at Swamp Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Thatcher Creek Campground is a magnificent spot for that; Swamp Lake is right by the Blue Bunch Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Swamp Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Lola Creek Campground is a brilliant local campground, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Bear Valley Creek Trail. While you're here at Swamp Lake, you could also stop at                  wonderful Marten Lake, and hiking along the Camptender Trail is pleasant fun. Swamp Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawtooth Range. So many fun things to do in the Sawtooth Range, not enough time. Kelly Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by, and a tremendous panorama of picturesque Copper Mountain is available.
