Why not stop by Stingray Lake if you're passing through these parts. This lake is one of the great places here in the Bitterroot Range. Camping is available at Bear Creek Pass Campground, and there are other sites here than Stingray Lake, for example Brushy Fork Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range.
But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range. Take a hike on the Old Nez Perce Trail; lakes are such peaceful

sites, why not go to Bigfoot Lake. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Stingray Lake. Nipple Knob is simple to spot from Stingray Lake, and why not camp at Schumaker Campground while you're here at Stingray Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Big Sand Creek, and Best Western Hamilton Inn is a great location to get some rest.
For the period of the warm days of summer at Stingray Lake highs are mostly in the 80's while night lows are

frequently in the 40's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows during the winter for Stingray Lake tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Have a nice hiking adventure along the North Route Of Old Nez Perce Trail, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lost Trail while you're here.
