During the summer months here at Still Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Still Lake are in the 20's. Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a wonderful spot to get some rest; don't forget to take a fine little spree to Cedar Creek. Not enough hours in a       day to enjoy the Bitterroot Range. Still Lake is a location that is rather waterless usually; November is when you get the most rain here, and July is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Shertz Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and the sight of Bee Top Mountain is picturesque. Man, is there a load of cool stuff to do close to Still Lake. There's so much to do here at Still Lake                  that you need to camp here for a while, Porcupine Lake Campground is a splendid location for that, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the North Fork Trail. If you came to camp East Fork Public Campground is a nice spot to do that; if you come at the right time of year, Pack River offers some great whitewater. Still Lake is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range. But wait, there's more cool stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range.
