The Bitterroot Range scenery is always beautiful. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Still Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Still Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Around Still Lake you don’t get a lot of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. You just       can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Bitterroot Range has to offer. The Shertz Trail is a great hiking trail next to Still Lake, and a great place for whitewater paddling is Couer d'Alene River - Big North Fork. Having a brilliant time in the Bitterroot Range is painless. There is a brilliant hiking trail near Still Lake called the North Fork Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Still Lake is a splendid spot to camp, Porcupine Lake Campground                  is a splendid spot, and if you need a place to stay Clark Fork Lodge is a nice choice. Pack River is a good whitewater spot near Still Lake, and some of the water close by flows, like Cedar Creek. If the weather is wonderful here at Still Lake, you can go for a hike along the Alpine Trail, and Hotel Hope is a magnificent spot to get some rest. All the outdoors fun things next to Still Lake will keep you coming back persistently.
