The beauty of Steve Lake is reason enough to stop by. Whohoo, so much exciting stuff in one place! The Bitterroot Range rocks! After a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a fine place to spend a night or two; the Shin Point Trail offers hiking at its best. Now, you may believe that's plenty but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Steve Lake. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Steve Lake get into the 80's with overnight lows in

| | the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Steve Lake.
The top of The Nub is easily made out from Steve Lake, and Clearwater River - North Fork is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on St. Joe River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Steve Lake; Dead Mule Trail is a perfect local trail. Steve Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month is July. Washington Creek Campground is a good local campground; why not camp at Aquarius Campground since you're here at Steve Lake.
