Get drenched paddling on Boundary Creek; The Wigwams is clearly visible from Standard Lakes. A great location to camp here at Standard Lakes is Dirt Oven Campground, and camping at Indian Creek Campground is always a wonderful experience. The annual precipitation here at Standard Lakes is about average; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest month of the year is July.       This lake is so wonderful. Any time is a great time at Standard Lakes if you fancy the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Smith Creek, and a lake close by is Lower Standard Lake. After a long day outdoors Schweitzer Mountain Resort is a brilliant place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike along the Chipmunk Rapids National Recreation Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Dry warm beds await you at Sandpoint Super                  8 Motel, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Hanna Flast Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Schweitzer is a glorious local ski area; you can have a great hiking adventure along the White Mountain Trail. Summertime highs at Standard Lakes regularly tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's.
