What a nice lake Square Top Lake is. There's nice hiking along the South Fork Blackmare Cutoff, and skiing at Brundage Mountain is one of those things you just have to do. Man, is there loads of fun things to do in the Salmon River Mountains. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork, and if you've had enough of Square Top Lake, Blackmare Lake is nearby. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Square Top Lake; Dollar Creek Ridge Trail is a delightful

| | local trail, and Square Top Lake is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Poverty Flat Campground is a nice local campground.
Square Top Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; throughout January this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. So much cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too great to be true. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains.

wonderful. The White Rock Peak Trail offers hiking at its best, and Square Top can be seen from Square Top Lake. Summertime highs at Square Top Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. The winter comes
with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Square Top Lake drop into the 10's.
