If you are traveling by, why not stop by Square Top Lake. Square Top Lake is located in the Salmon River Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The Dollar Creek Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best, and from Square Top Lake you obtain a wonderful panorama of Square Top. Square Top Lake is a good place of normal rain; January is the month that gets the most snow while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Square Top Lake is right by the White Rock Peak Trail; why not camp at Kennally Creek Campground while you're here at Square Top Lake. to spend a night or two. Yep, outdoors fun stuff truly is plentiful here in the Salmon River Mountains. Camping at Square Top Lake is good fun, Poverty Flat Campground is a good local campground; Salmon River - South Fork is a tremendous
whitewater spot nearby. Summertime at Square Top Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Square Top Lake are in the 10's.
