  Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Bitterroot Range. If you came for an overnight stay Schumaker Campground is a fine location to camp; a lake close by is Upper Bear Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Bear Creek Pass is a great spot to go to in the vicinity of Spruce Lake, naturally you could also visit Lake of the Rocks if you're here; it's not far at all.
Camping is available at Bear Creek Pass Campground; dry warm beds await you at Rye
    Creek Lodge.
This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range. Spruce Lake is a good site of typical precipitation. January is the wettest month with most snow while July is generally the driest month.
