Spruce Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Spruce Lake is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Copper Creek Campground is a glorious location to camp nearby; on a magnificent day you can take a hike along the Ruby Ridge Trail. Near Spruce Lake you find the Rutledge Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail; there are other sites here than Spruce Lake, for example Hidden Lake. Spruce Lake gets very little rainfall;

high temperatures generally get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Spruce Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. You'll
need more than a day to look at everything Spruce Lake has to offer, you can camp at Meadow Creek Campground, and why not explore nearby West Branch Deer Creek since you're here at Spruce Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone
but if it's for you then we recommend Kootenai, and the top of Ruby Mountain is easily distinguished from Spruce Lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff right next door to Spruce Lake. The Copper Creek Trail is a pleasant
hiking trail in close proximity to Spruce Lake; Best Western Kootenai River Inn & Casino is a nice spot to get some rest.
