Dry warm beds await you at Palouse Inn, and why not a little side trip to Bergs Creek. Spring Hill Reservoir is not the only location close by, Spring Valley Reservoir is a close by lake, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Spring Hill Reservoir; White Pine Scenic Drive is a pleasant local trail. If you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Moscow is a nice choice, and good hiking is available along the Sand Mountain Lookout Trail. This lake is so

Spring Hill Reservoir in fact is in the middle of a delightful outdoors paradise. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Potlatch River; don't leave Spring Hill Reservoir without first going for a hike along the White Pine National Recreation Trail. You could also explore Village of Troy Reservoir if you're here at Spring Hill Reservoir; it's close by, and why not stop by Spring Valley Dam if you're here. | |

This lake is so wonderful. Lots of folks from Moscow come to Spring Hill Reservoir; if you come at the right time of year, Big Bear River offers some good whitewater.
The amount of rain that falls at Spring Hill Reservoir is close
to the national average; December is the wettest month with most snow while July is mostly the driest month. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Spring Hill Reservoir reach the 80's with night lows in the 40's. The
cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Spring Hill Reservoir overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 20's.

 | I agree. Spring Valley Reservoir needs some work. Docks need a few boards replaced and some deck screws. The fish cleaning station was crushed by heavy snow and remains in a pile of broken wood. Old burn piles need cleaned up. The water system needs repaired. Very bad....Spring Valley Reservoir has been a place I have visited since I was a young child and now I have introduced it to my children. Unfortunately the past few times I have visted the reservoir it has increasingly become more and more of a disappointment. Although there are ''camp hosts'' that are designated for the area they are not available and the swim beach, restrooms, trails are littered and vandalized. When we have used the area for camping there have been individuals speeding in and out of the park, partying all hours of the night and the camp hosts do not intervene. I have yet to see them interact with guest of Spring Valley nor have I seen them working on the area. I assume that they are being allowed to live there without costs in trade for taking care of and monitoring the area. I think this should be reviewed by the State especially if our tax dollars are going for upkeep and care of this valuable and beautiful reservoir.... |
