This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. A pleasant place for whitewater paddling close to Spangle Lake is Salmon River, and you're probably hooked on lakes, Ardeth Lake is one of those nearby. Just can't get enough of the Sawtooth Range. Tenlake Basin is a tremendous location. All through the days of summer here at Spangle Lake, high temperatures typically       get into the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's with temperatures at Spangle Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. And that's not all you can do here in the Sawtooth Range. Camping is available at Powerplant Campground, and there's some flowing water nearby, Flytrip Creek is a stream you can check out while here. Having a fine time at Spangle Lake is simple. On a tremendous day at Spangle                  Lake you can take a hike along the Bull Moose Trail, and Glens Peak is clearly visible from Spangle Lake. Going for a hike on the Yuba River Trail is always a fine adventure, and why not camp at Alturas Inlet Campground if you're here at Spangle Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a magnificent hiking trail next to Spangle Lake called the Yellow Belly Trail; brilliant skiing awaits you at Soldier Mountain Ski Resort.
