Sure, Alturas Lake is nearby; Paradise Peak is a peak you can catch a sight of from Snowslide Lakes. Near Snowslide Lakes you come across the Yellow Belly Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Paradise Lake. Just can't get enough of Snowslide Lakes. Why not camp at Bowns Campground       since you're here at Snowslide Lakes, and there are great spots to look at along the Bull Moose Trail. Snowslide Lakes is mostly a pretty dried up location; the month with most of the snow is December while July is typically the driest month. Camping is available at Canyon Campground; whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Salmon River. High temperatures at Snowslide Lakes through the warm days of summer are in the                  70's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 30's. For the period of the winter highs are frequently in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Snowslide Lakes are in the-10's. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawtooth Range. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the Sawtooth Range will keep you coming back repeatedly. You can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Sun Valley. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Sawtooth Range.
