Snowbank Lake gets a typical amount of annual rainfall; the wettest month of the year is mostly January, that's the one that snows the most, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Snowbank Lake you come across The Hole, and Snowbank Lake is right by the Hot Springs Creek Trail. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Sawtooth Range. That       right there is a lot of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Sawtooth Range has it all. You could also pop by Arrowhead Lake if you're here at Snowbank Lake; it's nearby, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Snowbank Lake; Black Warrior Creek Trail is a brilliant local trail. Summertime highs at Snowbank Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. Throughout the wintertime highs are                  frequently in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Snowbank Lake are in the 10's. Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is a wonderful location in close proximity to Snowbank Lake, and the Yuba River Trail offers hiking at its best. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff at Snowbank Lake. Snowbank Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Powerplant Campground is a great local campground; camping at Queens River Campground is always a perfect experience. The summit of Blacknose Mountain can be seen from Snowbank Lake, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Salmon River.
