Why not stop by Smokey Lake if you're passing through these parts. Smokey Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. Smokey Lake is a fine site to camp, Clearwater Crossing Campground is a fine site, and the Colgate Licks Nature National Recreation Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. Here at Smokey Lake you can catch a glimpse of Shale Mountain, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a brilliant choice.

This site is great, just check out all the entertaining stuff to do next to Smokey Lake. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Smokey Lake
has to offer, you can camp at Wendover Campground, and a pretty lake like Leo Lake is a tremendous place to visit. At Smokey Lake during the summer highs are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. Highs through the winter are
mostly in the 30's with temperatures at Smokey Lake dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
Smokey Lake gets very little rainfall; the month of June is the wettest with most of the rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
