From Smith Lake you acquire a perfect view of Lake Mountain, and Plowboy Campground is a great local campground. Summertime at Smith Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come       with lows in the 10's to Smith Lake. Yeah, come here to Smith Lake for a fine time. Bear Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth checking out, and Schweitzer has great slopes and a friendly staff. Smith Lake is not the only location close by, Cutoff Lake is a close by lake, and get your pulse rate up on the fine whitewater of Smith Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You could also visit Ball Lakes if you're here at Smith Lake; it's nearby, and why not                  camp at Dirt Oven Campground since you're here at Smith Lake.
