Smith Lake is always a pleasure to visit. The sight of Smith Mountain from Smith Lake is delightful, and don't forget to take a good little visit to Caribou Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Smith Lake you can take a hike along the Timber Mountain Trail. There's so much to do here at Smith Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Porcupine Lake Campground is a great location for that.

Smith Lake has to offer, you can camp at East Fork Public Campground. At Smith Lake you don’t see much rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here; July on the other hand is the driest.
The Cabinet Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
