You'll need more than a day to look at everything Slide Lake has to offer, you can camp at Queens River Campground. Through the months of summer at Slide Lake temperatures are frequently in the 80's while overnight lows are regularly in the 40's. Take a hike on the Black Warrior Creek Trail, and you can stay the night at Powerplant Campground.
