Slide Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. St. Joe River is a magnificent whitewater spot right next door to Slide Lake, and there are great places to look at along the Old Montana Trail. The amount of rain that falls at Slide Lake is close to the national average; most of the snow falls all through January, and the driest month is July. Life's too short to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot

| | Range. You could also stop by Cliff Lake since you're here at Slide Lake; it's nearby, and the vista of The Nub is beautiful.
So much enjoyable stuff in the Bitterroot Range, just amazing. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slide Lake. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Slide Lake. This lake is one of the great places | |

You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors fun stuff the area in the neighborhood of Slide Lake has to offer. A tremendous location for whitewater paddling near Slide Lake is Clearwater River -
North Fork, and there is a good hiking trail close by called the Dead Mule Trail. Camping at Aquarius Campground is always a magnificent experience, and going for a hike on the Shin Point Trail is always a pleasant adventure. Camping is available at Washington Creek Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - St. Regis.
