Skookum Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; the month of January is the wettest with most of the snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Lolo-Days Inn Missoula South/Blue Mountain is a nice choice; Skookum Lake is right by the Lee Ridge Trail. Skookum Lake is a good spot to visit for more than one day, LoLo Hot Springs Resort       is a good spot to camp nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Brushy Fork offers some glorious whitewater. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Bitterroot Range has to offer. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Sally Ridge Trail. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend White Sand Creek, and a lake nearby is Moose Lake. Skookum Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range.
