So much entertaining stuff to do in the Bitterroot Range, not enough time. If you need a spot to stay Days Inn And Suites Lolo is a fine choice. This location, the Bitterroot Range, has so much outdoors cool stuff. Going for a hike on the Mill Creek Trail is always a glorious adventure; Elk Meadows is a good place to check out. This lake is so wonderful. The Sally Ridge Trail is a great hiking trail close to Skookum Lake, and since you might be in a lake visiting

Hot Springs Resort. Skookum Lake is located in the Bitterroot Range. Near Skookum Lake you stumble on the Lee Ridge Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and whitewater paddling is pleasant on White Sand Creek.

 | 17 miles away I venture up to Tag Alder every year. It is getting more and more difficult to get up there because of the new growth of trees from the fires of 2000. Once there it is beautiful lake. Another half hour hike up and you will be at the summit of the mountain. There is a nice camp area on North shore.
