St. Joe River is a nice whitewater spot close to Silver Lake, and don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clearwater River - North Fork, and Bacon Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to. Yeah, come up here to the Bitterroot       Range for a delightful time. Super 8 Motel - St. Regis is a tremendous site to get some rest, and why not camp at Hidden Creek Campground since you're here at Silver Lake. A common amount of rain falls here at Silver Lake; through the month of January you get the most snow around here; the driest month is July. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do in the neighborhood of Silver Lake. Silver Lake is a beautiful lake in the Bitterroot Range. A                  wonderful location to camp here at Silver Lake is Spruce Tree Campground, and you can catch a sight of Five Lakes Butte from Silver Lake. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Silver Lake while night lows are generally in the 40's.
