Good hiking is available along the Ship Island Trail; Shoban Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Yellowjacket Campground is a great local campground. Shoban Lake gets very little precipitation; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is one of the great places here in the Salmon River Mountains. Not enough hours in a       day to enjoy this place. Panther Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Shoban Lake; the Bighorn Crags casts its shadow over Shoban Lake. This location, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. This is a nice area for folks who like lakes. Heart Lake is a lake around here. You're perhaps into lakes, Airplane Lake is one of those nearby, and a nice place to camp here at Shoban Lake is Crags Campground. This lake                  is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Shoban Lake; Waterfall Trail is a good local trail, and the top of Bighorn Crags is easily seen from Shoban Lake. If you adore the outdoors you'll adore it here in the Salmon River Mountains. The South Fork Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Camas Creek. For the duration of the warm days of summer at Shoban Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's.
