Shining Lake is a nice lake to visit. And that's not all you can do here at Shining Lake. Shining Lake is not the only spot close by, Half Acre Lake is a close by lake, and you can stay the night at California Creek Bar Campground. So many exciting things to do in the Clearwater Mountains, not sufficient time. Butcher Creek is a good local stream, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Reed Bar Trail. Concord Hill can be made out from Shining

| | Lake. There's so much to do here at Shining Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Wildhorse Lake Campground is a brilliant place for that.
For the duration of the long summer days here at Shining Lake, high temperatures commonly reach the 80's with night lows in the 40's. is a nice choice, and get dripping wet paddling on Clearwater River - South Fork. This site, the Clearwater Mountains, has so much outdoors entertaining stuff. Near Shining Lake you locate the Pilot Knob Trail which is a brilliant
hiking trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Salmon River - South Fork.
There is a brilliant hiking trail close to Shining Lake called the Nellie Mountain Trail, needless to say you could also go to Horseshoe Lake while you're here; it's not far at all.
