This place, Sheepeater Lake, it completely has so much outdoors exciting stuff. Hiking along the Chamberlain Trail is wonderful fun, and Sleepy Hollow is also a splendid spot to explore. Sheepeater Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains. All year is a splendid time in the Salmon River Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. This lake is so wonderful.       Camping is available at Whitewater Campground; do take a hike on the Three Blaze Trail. Really splendid skiing awaits you at Brundage Mountain, and going for a hike along the Center Mountain Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. A splendid place to camp here at Sheepeater Lake is Rhett Creek Campground, and whitewater paddling is good on Salmon River. From a rainfall point of view Sheepeater Lake is a pretty normal site; the month of January                  is the wettest with most of the snow, and July is the month with the least moisture. So much cool stuff to do here in the Salmon River Mountains, too pleasant to be true. Do set aside some time for Upper Trout Creek Meadows while you're here at Sheepeater Lake, and the vista of lovely Sheepeater Mountain is brilliant. For the duration of the days of summer, highs generally are in the 70's at Sheepeater Lake. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 30's.
