All through the summertime months, highs usually are in the 80's at Sheep Lake. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Sheep Lake. Iron Mountain Inn is a pleasant local       campground, and Sheep Lake is a great spot to visit for more than one day, Deer Creek Campground is a great spot to camp nearby. It is very arid here at Sheep Lake mostly; through January this area sees the most snow; August on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A spree to Sheep Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Chicken Spring, and if you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on                  Little Wood River. You completely have to adore Sheep Lake.
