This lake is so wonderful. Bacon Peak is a peak you can see from Seed lake, and a good place for whitewater paddling is St. Joe River. You clearly have to like Seed lake. There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Bitterroot Range. A brilliant place to camp here at Seed lake is Hidden Creek Campground, and if you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling       on Clearwater River - North Fork. Summertime highs at Seed lake typically tend to be in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Seed lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Camping at Spruce Tree Campground is always a splendid experience, and a glorious close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - St. Regis. A lake close by is Bacon Lake, and good hiking is available                  along the Cedar Creek Stock Driveway. An average amount of precipitation falls at Seed lake; most of the snow falls throughout January, and July is when it's the driest.
