If you need a spot to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Mccall-The Hunt Lodge, Id is a good choice. This place, the Salmon River Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. The summit of Lava Butte can be distinguished from Scribner Lake, and Scribner Lake is right by the Lava Butte Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are such serene spots, why not check out Lava Butte Lakes       in close proximity to Scribner Lake; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Crestline Trail. Scribner Lake gets very little rain; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is July. There are other places here than Scribner Lake, for example Kenneth Lake; Salmon River is a pleasant whitewater spot close by. Be careful coming to Scribner Lake, you might not ever want to return back home again. Upper Payette                  Lake Campground is a great campground nearby, and do take a hike on the Broken Leg Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Salmon River Mountains. If you came for an overnight stay Hazard Campground is a great site to camp, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. At Scribner Lake during the summer highs are in the 90's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's.
