You'll discover a striking lake called Kenneth Lake near Scribner Lake, and whitewater paddling is splendid on Salmon River. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail near Scribner Lake called the Broken Leg Trail; a brilliant close by hotel is Best Western Salmon Rapids Lodge. It is very dry here at Scribner Lake generally; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and the       driest month is July. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Scribner Lake, and the night is fairly colder of course, usually in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are frequently in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Scribner Lake. At Scribner Lake you can catch a sight of Lava Butte; do explore Lava Butte Lakes, it's a charming lake. Whohoo, so many fun things in one place! The Salmon River Mountains is peerless!
