Triangle Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and there's perfect hiking along the Yuba River Trail. Just can't get enough of the Sawtooth Range. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Scenic Lake has to offer, you can camp at Powerplant Campground, and don't leave Scenic Lake without first going for a hike along the Black Warrior Creek Trail. For the duration of the warm months highs       here at Scenic Lake reach the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Scenic Lake. This lake is so wonderful. A lake close by is Diamond Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Scenic Lake; Hot Springs Creek Trail is a wonderful local trail. The Sawtooth Range scenery is always beautiful. There's so much to                  do here at Scenic Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Queens River Campground is a pleasant place for that; from Scenic Lake you get a great sight of Browns Peak. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument is a delightful national park.
